Estepona, situated in the west of
Andalusia, is one of the most important tourist destinations
in the province of Malaga. It has an exclusive position
on the shores of the Mediterranean in the heart of the
so-called Costa del Sol, while being shadowed by the Bermeja
mountains to the north, with Los Reales peak reaching 1,449m.
For this reason it can offer a broader offer to tourists with
its unique placing sandwiched by the mountains and the
sea.
It's coast of more than 20km long is divided into 17
different picturesque sandy beaches. Rada beach, right in front of
the town of Estepona, has received the European Union's Blue Flag
award and is the largest of the borough. Others, like Cristo Beach
are beautiful secluded bays during the whole year, while rocky
beaches can prove a real delight for both foreign visitors and
Estepona residents alike.
